  1. oh my these pages!! I swear it is the children in this story that are my favorite characters!!! Poor little babies! I would so buy this series if it ever was in print!!!

  2. First off, Jivi gon' kick him some ass. Second off, really, think about getting a Kickstarter (especially if you ever want a print version of Unsounded). I really want this comic to keep going and for you to get more easily compensated for something I get so much joy out of!

  3. I agree with the posts above. If you are ever even remotely interested in getting this series printed, shoot me an email. I know two established webcomic artists who have gotten their stuff printed and I'd be more than happy to get you in touch with them. In the mean time, keep up the awesome work. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this story.

  6. Is it bad that I feel equally as awful for Mathis as for Matty? In spite of (because of?) his massive flaws (narcissistic prick, willfully ignorant parent) Quigley is my favorite character. I love how every character is a complicated mix of flaws and strengths - Ashley, you are AMAZING.
    Neek on
  7. Good Stuff. Way to go Jivi, I hope he gets to kill some of these slavers. Still none of these kids have parents who are winning parent of the year awards anytime soon.

  8. I would buy a printed version in a heartbeat. I absolutely love this comic and all the work you put into it.

  9. Holy cow, these pages are AMAZING. The character interactions are brilliant, and I just want to hug Matty forever. Also I fifth/whateverth the idea of you getting this printed, that would be awesome. :D

  10. Seph is just getting his ass kicked all over the place today.

  11. In my head, Quigley is totally crying in that panel on page 34 when he runs away. XD
    PhantomSeptember on
  12. I would throw so much money at you to have a printed version of this. Also, yes, I imagine Quigs is crying right now too.
    gahitsu on
  13. I would buy too.

  14. Go Jivi! Poor Matty... I like Quigley, he's a bad-ass, but he's also an ass. >.>;
    DiardanRose on
  15. Why do I get the feel that when Jivi hands the bottle to Eph it's going to have the little spider pymarics in them...like the one's Jivi found on chapter 4, page 35...
    Elle on
  16. Your index is still down.

  17. He's had that bottle with him for a long time now, long enough to Add anything to it?

  19. THREE DAY WEEKEND! WHOO!!!

  20. Did Jivi's ear regrow? I'm pretty sure he didn't have that much ear left after Starfish bit it off. But whatever. Is Matty's eye bleeding after Quigley slaps him? Or are those just dried tears? o_O
    Wright of Void on
  21. At least he didn't just redirect his anger toward Jivi. Ugh. I am so torn right now between saying, "Wait, where's my Monday fix?!" and trying not be selfish. Have a lovely weekend, Ashley!
    FascinatedReader on
  22. Real nice panel when he's about to slap the kid, you really see that rage in his face.
    Besner on
  23. oh god, oh god, oh god. There's gonna by rat-trap pymaric buggies in the wine bottle, isn't there? Oh man.
    Marconi on
  24. Oh dear god, please a Kickstarter or something. We only want to give you oodles of money.
    Rufei on
  25. Aww Matty, awwwwwwww. :C
    Thane on
  26. Jivi's gon escape! (Or at least try.)
    Unclever title on
  27. @xxx
Down in what sense? I just tested it on three different computers and it seems fine to me. Might be something on your end.
    Ashley on
  28. Why can't Jivi just slip between the bars and escape? it looks like they are about two feet apart, plenty for a skinny kid to slip through.
    Matthew on
  29. I would also love to get this in print. And on my system the page link at the top of this page just resolves to this page not the comic. I noticed this just this week. I am behind a really stiff firewall which sometimes gives odd results but it has been fine up till this now. I've been going to the Comic Index to view. Still one of the best comics going!
    Iceea on
  30. When a slave-boy and a zombie are both better at being parents (and adults) than you, you know you've done something wrong. Unless you're Starfish. He's just an ass.
    Airedar on
  31. @Matthew: The slaves in the cart are wearing collars that are chained to the cart.
    Sei on
  32. There's something unintentionally hilarious about that "RRAAAAAAHHH!" panel. XD
    Katz on
  33. @Wright of Void: I'm pretty sure the "blood" you see is the red-ning of his cheek after Quigley slapped him.
    Riven on
  34. Great interaction! And Quigley's face at the very end of p33 is very impressive. Whoa, I didn't think of putting the rat traps in that bottle... just thought a along the lines of hitting Eph with it. But woah... that would be harsh. Just not sure how it will help Jivi to get out. We'll have to wait (especially as a new scene is coming first... back to Sette?)
    Reed on
  35. Might sandal of justice, lmao! Dare I say that be a Bleach reference?? xD either way I got a tickle out of it.
    StarHowler on
  36. I don't speak much on here but I agree with everyone above that I would definitely love to see this in print. Your story and character building is excellent!
    Silval on
  37. i'd buy it if you had a printed version. i might even buy two copies (one for wear and one for spare) so did quigs not know duane was a zombie? dang little mattie is so cute, even crying! way to go jivi sticking up for your pal. can't wait for the next update!!! :)
    xaviara on
  38. The bit about how Quigs lied to Matty's mom tells me that the version of Quigs's story Elka heard might not be 100% truth......not that that would be that surprising.
    Lord TableShark on
  39. I read a lot of good webcomics. I've never bought any print copies, though I have had the urge a few times. But if you Kickstartered this (is that even a word?) I'd totally go in at a level that'd get me a print copy. None of the webcomics I read have art and story *this* good.
    Galacticlore on
  40. Waah! Poor Matty! And I wasn't sure at first, but I decided that I love Quigley. He's not winning any Parent of the Year awards anytime soon, but he's complex and very interesting. I absolutely adore this comic.
    AngelMatvey on
  41. Well, that's certainly ONE way to deflate (or, at the very least, redirect) someone's anger. "Did you just throw a SHOE at me?" "...Yes." "But...but you're..."
    Savail on
  42. Certainly agree you ought to print. :)
    Charon on
  43. Quigley's really aiming his anger in the wrong direction, but he can hardly expect to get paid if he aims it in the correct direction. Starfish uses Quigley as a scapegoat, and Quigs in turn makes Matty his, even though Matty hasn't done anything wrong, and neither has Quigley. Really, the real source to blame is either Starfish or the twists of fate, and Starfish is the one that's threatened to kill both Quigley and Matty.

  45. Man, if Matty would be a girl, i´d totally ship him and Jivi right now. XD
    James Rye on
  46. Is Jivi going to get his shoe back? Stupid question I know, but still...
    Warwickersham on
  47. Matty obviously touched a nerve with that comment. Quig's explosive rage tells you he feels guilty about Vienne. And with the way his day is going, the last thing Eph should do is drink from that bottle.
    Randy Butternubs on
  48. I whole heartedly agree with galactic lore, this is an amazing comic....and I also dont know wether to hit quigly or hug him. I have a brother sort of like that, who sometimes cant control his temper and believe me he's tried. (except he hasn't really hit a person yet...)

  49. I'm on the edge of my seeeeaaaaat!! Can't wait til Wednesday~

  50. I really would love a print. Kickstarter would really help in learning how many people would love a print. But you should be very proud of what you have here. such detail.

  53. To Jay and Ashley, Is this something we're really thinking about doing? Maybe a kickstarter to get a physical edition of a first book? Because I am fucking DOWN.

  54. Well here I am, Monday. Waiting for Wednesday. I guess I am camping? Yup camping.
    BPR on
  55. Quigley really is an amazing character. Complex and tragic and a jerk and kind of noble all at the same time. His reasons for hating Alderode - I get this feeling from him that reminds me of how there's no more bitter opponent of a state or a religion (and Alderode is kinda both, right? or at least a heavily religious state?) than a former true believer. Dude kinda had everything, it looks like, then... {fart noise.}
