  2. Aaahhhh Jivi aaaaaaahhhhhh. It's so weird how I can simultaneously want him to not not do this, but love him more because he's doing it. :C Poor kids...

  3. Cutter's still on the roof, isn't he? No doubt he heard Eph's death scream. Jivi should have run when he had the chance. Now he's open to be a lizard's midnight snack.

  6. Jivi really should worry about getting out alive himself. The best chance for everyone else is if he gets to the Crescian gaurd and tells them where the other prisoners are.

  7. @ Mike, Agreed. Jivi would have had a better chance of saving that kid if he'd made a run for a guard. Now that he's double-backed, disaster is imminent. Unless Ashley pulls a fast one on us :3 ...Please?

  8. If Cutter's on the roof, I would think it likely that Jivi would die as soon as he sets foot outside. But maybe Cutter has come across as more danger than he is.

  9. I missed a week apparently so I went back a few pages to catch up and when Eph's face asploded I definitely covered my face and gasped. Ashley, you continue to amaze me agh. *__* Now for the actual comic going ons - Jivi definitely needs to leave first then come back. He would make a great assistant/squire to Toma!

  11. Technically, Jivi's plan was never to leave any of them, he was going to get the guard. It's stupid really, to take with him somebody who'll slow him down on his way to the guards. But Jivi is Jivi, and he'll help everyone anyway, rational or not <3

  15. How can they be alive? No guts to speak of, just unholy first silver. Augh. Makes a guys stomach hurt just thinking of it. And what can Jivi do for them, anyway? He can't fix 'em. Probably Quigley can't fix them, either, even though he's obviously hoping he can. Gaaaugh!

Well, for starters he's rolled over clutching his sides, and he just ate something the mechanical equivalent of a chestburster grenade made of razor blades and tiny buzz saws, so I'm guessing he's suffered more than cosmetic damage to several internal organs. The potential for blood loss looks significant as well, but frankly, there's probably people elsewhere who've lived through worse. I'd bet that he just needs a good surgeon. As in one better (or at least less questionable) than Cutter. As far as I know, they aren't carrying additional silver, so he can't suffer the same fate as the slaves. So this may be the last we see of him, whether dead or essentially dead. Somebody should write an Ephitaph for Ephsephin, just in case.

  25. At first I read "Don't do it Jivi! Be Starfish!" XD @all those who mention Cutter: remember he joined the Boys so he could taste human flesh; now that he's getting a full meal thanks to Jivi, I don't think he'll care much about stopping the boy. On the unlikely chance that Eph survives 'sploded guts and a throat cut for the inside, my bet would be that he gets a taste of his own medicine, i.e.: Cutter and Starfish decide that since he's good for nothing else now, they may as well stabilize him, then stuff him full of silver while he's still alive, so that the silver will have a chance to soak up his agony before he kicks off.
