  1. C'mon, Jivi...SLICE N' DICE HIS FAT ASS! Ha ha...whoa. Where did that come from...
    Angie on
  2. I thought because Ashley introduced two new (potential?) adversaries - a mage type and a brawler type - she is gonna' kill off two old ones - Eph and Cutter. But all of a sudden Eph is still alive, although maybe only for long enough to tell Starfish it was Jivi who offed him.

  3. HOW IS HE NOT DEAD?
    Riven on
  4. Probably nothing serious was directly damaged. Those parts that ripped him up were small, after all, meant for rats. He's just slowly bleeding out at this point.
    Jack on
  5. That look on Starfish's face...he's going to kill Eph, I bet you.

  6. Wellll, Eph just goes to show that GI type damage is a slow death, if you are just gonna be bleedin to death. And I regret sounding uber-gory,I do not liek it, but dannggg, Starfish is so bloated, one slice with a sharp blade and ewww, all that corpulence is gonna pour out all over his feet. (and is not instantly lethal at all.) I look forward to him getting alll guts vs ankle-tangled and trippping and rolling in them. Such a gruesome end to a nasty bass-tard would be righteous. I trust you AC to have something nice planned for him! Always happy to check out your work. :)

  8. Hmm I wonder if stabbing Starfish would look like popping a very large zit.
    ;_; on
  9. Killing Eph would be the "smart" thing for him to do, I reckon. Unless doctors who can heal that kind of horrific damage are inexpensive and discrete. No honor among thieves, and all that. Doctor might tell the cops and send someone around to have a look, ask questions. What's one more dead body floating down the river, right? One you don't have to split your ill gotten gains with on account of him not being alive anymore. One who has been screwing up and whinging too much lately. Yeah, my money's on Starfish finishing him off.

  10. Hurray, Eph's still alive! :D ...although he'd probably just end up suffering more :(
    Zamzoph on
  11. There's no way Starfish is going to haul Ephsephin to a doctor. He's basically fucked. At least the other RBBs will get a larger cut of the profits. :-D
    Lord TableShark on
  12. As much as I adore and feel for Ephsephin, I feel one of two things will happen. A humanizing moment for Starfish, in which he gently sends Ephsephin to meet his maker. Or a moral event horizon, where Starfish kicks Ephsephin to death for letting Jivi escape. Look on the bright side, Eph; your mother won't be seeing you at the gallows.
    Chipper on
  13. Gut wounds... nice and sizzly. What do you bet Starfish will repurpose Eph with some of that silver... or do they still have that stuff to tuck away?
    Andreas on
  14. Starfish is an excellent hunter. You can tell by how well fed he is.
    on
  15. Starfish seemed only half as terrible to me up until this page. Treating a child like he's no more than a sack. Damn, Jivi, KILL HIM!
    Shelley on
  16. He's ALIVE!? And he truly believes that Starfish will take care of him? :(
    Riki on
  17. Yea ... ol' Starfish is just the image of concern and helpfulness. Try as I might, I can't think of a reason why he wouldn't kill Eph. I mean ... it's not like he was ever gonna pay him, anyways, was it? Eph was a goner the moment he decided to work for Starfish.
    Michael on
  18. I like Starfish's priority list: 1) replace the silver in the cart 2) look for Jivi 97) check how hurt his employees are :D

  19. Okay, I love this comic, but I have question... is there an easier way to get to the newest comic than what I'm doing? Because it is awfully inconvenient to have to go to the index every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and click on the newest page, or bookmark the last comic, then update the bookmark every time it updates. I feel like I'm missing something, like a "newest comic" page.
    Fiddler on
  20. Fiddler, I've bookmarked www.casualvillain.com/Unsounded. The "new page" Sette link takes you to the newest comic.
    LongLiveHumour on
  21. Just wanted to thank you for not only being a good artist with a good, well-paced story and a great sense for world-building, but also a regular updater. In the world of webcomics this is more a boon than you realize.
    Spider on
  22. @Fiddler: Try the RSS feed in the bottom right of this page? It alerts me whenever there's a new update and sends me straight to the new page. In my honest opinion, RSS feeds are the best thing to happen to webcomics since... webcomics. Or in this case online graphic novels.
    Tachyon on
  23. Can we feed Eph - still living-ish - to the kedises now? I think they would like that, and I would like to see kedises. KEDISES!
    Chessie on
  24. Where's Sette didn't she chase after Starfish? Did she get caught by those other Frummagems? But Jivi's luck's turning around, saved last minute Ephsephin calling out, is Sette going to save him in some crazy fashion? So many questions! I hope the weekend passes quick... First time commenting, I love your comic. Your an amazing writer and artist!
    Ender on
  25. I didn't realize Jivi is stuck in his hiding-place; I thought he had escaped the building! That's right, Ephsephin, distract our favorite fat villain!
    FascinatedReader on
  26. Yeah, I knew there was no way that Ephsephin would die from something as simple as his insides getting ruptured and bursted out from. He's far too unlucky for something like that to take him down.
    Unclever title on
  27. @Chipper - I am pretty sure Starfish is well over his moral event horizon. He's a murder, a slaver, and a paedophile. What's he got left to do show that he's irredeemably bad? Incestuous underage necrophilia?
    Anon on
  28. Yeah the only place Jivi Could TKO Starfish with that thing is right in the eye. Corpus Jugulem Maybe if that blade's sharp enough.
    Crestlinger on
  29. So glad I found this webcomic. Been reading for months now, and I adore how regularly you update! Beautiful artwork, diverse characters, and intriguing story line! Bravo!
    Tam on
  30. @Anon - Don't tempt Starfish. (I realized belatedly that "moral event horizon" was already crossed. I should have used the "pet the dog/kick the dog" tropes to better describe the moment!)
    Chipper on
  31. I hope Jivi doesn't stab Starfish with that blade. It must be sharp, since he cut the collar with it, and without a handle to hold on to he'll slice his hand up. He might even sever some tendons.
    Timo on
  32. I continue to adore this comic. So damn good, Ashley! I ache that could never create something this awesome.
    John on
  33. @Timo Seeing as how Jivi managed to cut of the collar without making a bloody mess, I think he can manage to cut Starfish, mebbe.
    ;_; on
  34. There is little in life that instantly kills you except for direct brain damage. I think only a minute or two has passed in the last 8 pages or so.

  35. wow is starfish called that because of the five points on his face? (beard, topknot thing, sideburn one, sideburn two, and nose) i just made that connection.

  36. I love reading these comments pages, but they're a pain to get to. If I'm reading, say, page 30 of the current chapter, there's no link to the comments for that page. Instead, I have to go to the latest page, then click the 'next' arrow, which brings me to the comments for the latest page, then use the back arrows at the top to flip back page by page till I reach 30. Not at all optimal - I have never seen the comments for the first, oh, 200 or so pages because at this point flipping back to them one-by-one would take hours...

  37. So what happened to the whistle?

  38. Ephy!! I'm ridiculously excited that you're still around to be the buttmonkey!

  39. @ Otookee: Alternatively, change the url from hxxp://www.casualvillain.com/Unsounded/comic/ch0#/ch0#_##.html to hxxp://www.casualvillain.com/Unsounded/ch#-p##/. Still more work than if there was a link for each page's commentary, but less time consuming than hitting the back button however many times.
