Two pages today. I just noticed I forgot to put a tail on the last balloon on 63. That's Quigley talking.

  1. Well that makes more sense. Nicely done as always. Keep up the good work, not that I need to tell you that...

  2. Looks like Quigley could be in for quite the paper cut. Also,I have never heard butterfingers used in the context of magic.

  3. Ah, I love Quigley's little comments while he duels "Give me that...never mind" :)

  4. I love seeing the Quigley's conversations. Mathis speaks to Matty more as an adult than a child, which I'm assuming is because plats don't live as long, but I also think it has something to do with their former employers. The Quigley's don't speak to their own kind anymore and are ussually with slavers. Matty is probably brighter and more understanding than them, him being a play and all

  5. ^ I love that too, MagicalMoofin. Also, the expression on his face when he looks back at Matty, and Matty's sad scared disgruntled face ... just too cute. Somehow.

  6. This battle brought to you by Enclyclopedias O W N E and D.

  7. Haha, loved the part whap. Seemed more comedic than it should have in my mind.

  8. In the next panel, Anadyne follows up her combo by summoning pymaric French fries.

  9. I think the "I told you." "A few times now. Shut up." panel was posted earlier on the Formspring account. Since it looked like a calm moment, I assumed that meant the Quigleys would come out of this okay, but now that I see it's just a lull in the action, I'm actually worried for them again...... :(

  10. Whoa, I apparently FUBAR'd my comment box by trying to post the Quigley quotes........
    Lord TableShark on
  11. Fixed it.

  12. Have they always had characters for spoken magic words? I don't remember them before these pages.

  13. Oof. I hope those books weren't important.

  17. Where is the fat man? Don't lose sight of the fat man!
    Nestor on
  18. Seems the hot gal alone won't be a match for Quigs for too long. Let's just hope the Blob doesn't sneak-attack him while they're at it...

  19. Fanservice again - a panty-shot in the lower right frame.
    Mad'Monster'Maniac on
  20. Ouch. Papercut alreads IS the essence of sharpness.

  21. Hahahahaa, Quigley is awesome! "Give me that." Ach, now I'm scared that Starfish will rejoin the fight and stab him from behind.

  22. Why am I hoping that Sette (and attack zombie lol) saves Quigley now? Careful Quigs, don't underestimate your enemy or they'll kick your ass!
    Caitlin on
  23. @That_Guy - Yes. @Mad'Monster'Maniac - Hahaha! I didn't even notice her garter-belt until you said that. I originally thought her underwear was part of the folds in her dress because it was the same color. I am also loving the dialog here. I really do hope the Quigleys make it out okay. I'll deal with it if they die but they have such great lines and Matty is so cute. :)

  24. If ever there was a webcomic in need of an animated series. This is it. Kudos, as always, Ashely.

  25. Spelled, your name wrong. Sorry, Ashley, :(

  26. quigs needs to stop taunting and bragging during his fights! when will he ever learn???
    mo on
  27. @Whumpin' Stick The mechanics of the webcomics universe are more appealing to this, I wonder how it would do in a story telling video game. (I emailed ashley about it once but never got a response out of it :( ) Anyhow, the result of this fight is so predictable. I mean surely we won't see Quigley make a big mistake and get sliced up with some stolen "edge" spellery, together with Matty. Imagine if that'd happen.

  28. I see Annadyne licking? wiping? blood off her face while Quiqley mocks her. In martial arts world, Quiqley is about to get his ass kicked.
    Dredogasstus F on
  29. The panel with Anadyne wiping her face is awesome. In fact, since she is my new character crash (since Duane) I think to me every panel with Anadyne in it is awesome.
    Tane on
  30. Anadyne has some amazing clothing style. Do want.
    Yawgmoth on
  31. I've heard of throwing the book at someone, but throwing the edges of the pages is just downright unfair. Someone get this wright a dictionary so she can learn what unfair means!
    Tachyon on
  32. Papercut spell?? [Evil] descriptor right there, no questions asked.
    Oblivion on
  33. @Oblivion - Only if you combine it with essence of lemon juice.
    Sparky on
  34. I have to say I love how you represent spells and their effects. Seeing the sharpness fly off those pages is fantastic.
    Doonami on
  35. The night he had fighting our favorite Galit certainly prepared him well against these two... Two bad it's not a two vs. two match. Could you imagine Duane and Quigley against those two? Duane would freely protect the boy from Starfish, even if it meant working with his father...
    Terra on
  36. I don't think "spoiling" is quite the right word there. Maybe Quigs should say she's "boring" him instead?
    Lunaroki on
  37. to think the frummangems could use magic no only is the outcaste family strong but able to handle a quig even grounded make me wonder how strong is settes father
