Distracting Toma with a badge for his daughter is the exact same strategy she used back in 3 when he was upset over the big guy losing an arm. Back then she said she seduced a guard for it, but I'm wondering if she didn't just bully him too XD Elka, I love you.
Aw, Elka... Your ways are those of a troll, but your heart is made of honey and rainbows. Her best-est friend will be unhappy soon, let's bring him a pacifier. Also, loved the dialogue between Toma and Vera about the weird moral standards of the brothel. Thinking of the badge, Elka may had stomped on the right trail for their investigation totally by chance... The Green Lady always helps the helpless:)
Hey Ashley, I'm not sure if this is too soon to ask but is Duane actually attaching the severed leg to himself, or like...taking the flesh/bone/leg/what have you aspects and forming himself a new functional leg?
Heh, with Elka NOT singing the song, the lyric is "he'll arm" not "she'll arm." I wondered about that the first time we saw the lyrics.
@Potatocake: Good question, but they both amounted to the same thing in this case, I think. I think Duane needed all aspects of the leg, so there isn't anything left that he didn't use. It's just that one way would be more magical than the other.
If Ashley remains true to the spirit of "Unsounded", Elka will be stuck in the Friend Zone of Capt. Emil Sava for a long, long time, if not forever. So far, no opportunity was missed to maximize angst, pain and frustration. Grimdark was perfectly maintained not only on physical (carnage, to wit) level, but also on mental level as well. Once again, I applaud the level of artistic consistency of the comic.
YAY, a two'fer! "What do?" Not this, Elka! @Lord Table Shark: Yes, good eye there M'Lord. @sigmir: Not sure it matters. In Elka's somewhat less than sober state she has a very good chance of ripping his uniform trying to get his badge, and without his shirt there is something there even a drunk can't miss. Am I the only one who finds it funny Elka's genius plan to distract Toma from his unhappy home life is to snag him a badge to send to his daughter(at home), whom he may be worried he won't see again? Also liked the crime scene, Duane got his new leg, the two-toes got a nice tip, Starfish won't need to argue with Turas anymore or split the take as much, Tomas has his lead, and Turas can explore the kert (until he becomes another brick in the wall). Everybody's happy! Well, except the proprietor, poor dear needs a hug!
