Are you an awesome artist? Are you a wondrous writer? Then you should enter Unsounded's STOOPENDOUS Mega BETWEEN BOOKS Fanfiction and Fanart contests!
Here's how it works:

 

Fanfiction

What has Mikaila's life been like being raised by Uncle Lemuel? What would it be like being a mook in a Sharteshane gang? Or a noble in tempestuous Cresce? Or a street rat in Alderode? Did Bastion and Darkest Paul's teleportation snafu morph them into a single cancerous entity known henceforth as Bastest Winapaul? Perhaps you'd like to compile a recipe book of Aldish dishes. I bet you have some great ideas, and we'd love to read about 'em! Whatever inspires you, just make sure it takes place in the Unsounded universe.

 

  • The work must be poetry or prose format - no scripts.
  • Illustrations are great, but it needs to be YOUR artwork or photos! Not mine, and not AI!
  • Original characters welcome but no crossovers from other properties! We don't have permission to play with anyone else's toys.
  • All handmade content is welcome, even the naughty stuff, but I will reject anything I deem too inappropriate. Message me first if you have doubts.
  • You are responsible for formatting your entry. I can accept links to Google Docs, Archive of Our Own, or a properly converted html page, which I will happily host for you.

 

Fanart

Are your Feels too huge? Are you compelled to express yourself in pixels or paint or animation? Let's see your take on some of the comic's characters or your idea for something or someone still waiting off stage.

 

  • No AI. No scribbles on notebook paper please. Make your work presentable - it deserves it!
  • Unsounded characters, creatures, or locations only. OCs are okay but they MUST be shown with one of the canon characters (It's okay to draw Lemuel snuggling your OC, for instance).
  • Clothing optional. Shipping welcome. Use good judgement.
  • Submit jpgs or gifs no larger than 2mb in size. If you're doing something wild like a music video or animation, message me and we'll work it out. Youtube links have been common in the past.

 

The winners will be determined by popular vote. Each category will have a 1st place and a 2nd place. 1st place will receive either a $150 digital gift card (you tell me to where), or a modest commission of whatever they like done by yours truly. 2nd place will receive a $50 gift card. All submissions are due by the date of Book 2's launch: January 5th, 2026. Submit your entry to murkoph@gmail.com, with the subject "Fanworks Contest." Please include the work's title and your name/handle. If you'd like your name to be a clickable link back to your own whatever, include that link too. Max two entries per person please.
